After graduating from HKU art school in Utrecht in 1995 Emanuel started working as an illustrator primarily as an employee. After a small intermezzo in 2004 and 2005 to learn the craft of Vespa restorer, he now has been his own man for longer than a decade. Working mostly digital his work can best be described as vintage yet contemporary. Emanuel Wiemans (Amsterdam, 1975) lives and works in Haarlem, close to Amsterdam with his wife and two children. He is an illustrator, animator and storyboard artist and some of his clients include: Heineken, Albert Heijn, Philips, TBWA, Ogilvy, JWT, Rubinstein, Malmberg, Jupiler, Bux, Wieden&Kennedy, 180, Sesamstraat, Ziggo, Havas, Hazzaza, Playboy, Alfred, Rubinstein, Gottmer, CPNB, 72andsunny, The Oddshop, Bijenkorf. And he has made several children books and publications.
