Emiko first started her career after graduating Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) with a BFA in Illustration. Soon after she was hired as a Product Designer, designing seasonal products for specialty markets, such as Nordstroms, Macy's, and other small boutiques.
She went on to be a lead designer at three mass market companies and had her designs sold in Walmart, Target, Walgreens, Kmart and many more stores. With 10+ years of diverse corporate experience, Emiko brings expert technique and knowledge yet a fresh twist to her designs.
In 2016 Emiko started her own design studio, Emiko Designs, providing illustration, product design and design services for art directors and agencies all over the world. Today Emiko's designs can be found in retail stores worldwide of home decor, gift sets, stationery,
kitchen and baking, wall and window art, giftware, tableware, apparel, pet product and much more!
