I have been painting for over 25 years. When my youngest, Freddy, left for college in 2008, I began taking formal painting lessons. Fittingly, I named my studio Empty Nest and took art classes while also working on Interior Design projects with my design group. Over the past 8+ years I have studied with a variety of artists and instructors at the Museum of Fine Arts Museum School in Boston, the South Shore Arts Center and the North River Arts Society as well as private painting lessons.
As I’ve grown as an artist and my style has emerged, one thing has remained constant in my art and in my Design work: my love of color. My painting style has been described as Realism with an Impressionist influence. I am inspired by anything and everything, including nature, Broadway stage sets, travel, and fashion and design magazines. I paint whatever catches my fancy but my favorite subjects are Interiors (of course!), Still Life, and Fashion.
