Thank you showing interest in my art and sharing this creative journey with me.
My name is Richele Helander! These art pieces that society 6 beautifully makes into items for you to purchase are all my original paintings. =)
Empty Canvas Art was born in 2018 when I realized that life is abstract improv and if I'm not really in control of what's happening then why not just become apart of the flow. I painted that summer with a lot of flow type techniques which was a great way for me to find my love for abstract art. I love abstract because it doesn't matter what my interpretation of it is; it becomes what it is through you. I realize more and more this art journey has nothing to do with me but everything to do with you. When I was little I noticed how my brain paid close attention to the details of everything. I would sit there staring into space and mentally trace everything in the environment as if I was painting the picture; creating the details as I went. There was a whole other world outside of the visual projection with a massive array of details, colors, shapes, and all of this was creating what we see as solid. I realize now we are creating what we see; life is a visual projection of our minds activity. You are my inspiration, all those detail that happen in the realm of experience inspire me. Art grounds me as I can often be found dancing in the clouds; it also connects me with what I am each moment, and moment to moment. This expression of art flows through me straight to the Empty Canvas; what I call life. I am thrilled to see what life has in store through art and I can't wait to connect and create art with you. I've always had a creative expression in this lifetime. I have had many art hobbies over the years and I didn't realize until recently art is the most natural expression I can share. I remember being a girl and drawing on my big white desk; I must have been 5 or 6 and I had the whole desk full of colorful animals and strange circle creatures. We live in such a vast magnificent world; this is all just an Empty Canvas for which creation keeps on creating.
I truly hope to inspire you with what I create; Maybe some of my art will be great conversation starters when your friends and family visit your home or office spaces. So I leave you with this one valuable question: What are we without the details, shapes and stories we tell of ourselves? Color is colorless really.
