I found a source of hope and inspiration when looking to the ballet, an art form that keeps giving. There are things to be said about how breathtaking and captivating this form of art is; true poetry in motion. A privilege in which COVID-19 selfishly decided to draw the curtains on as if locking a bird in a cage.

It felt as if the whole world around us had come to a sudden halt and we had to adapt to new and unpredictable daily routines. New contradictions such as a fight for survival without violence. Through the empowerment of the ballet, some chose to dance in their living rooms, backyards or even on their rooftops and post it online for the world to see that The Dance of Life will always go on.

I felt inspired to show my support during these difficult times with a special project titled: "THE DANCE OF LIFE" comprised of a series of works whereby each piece aims to represent the solitude, deprivation and heartbreak, just to mention a few of the many hardships that the ballet has endured in the midst of this global pandemic.
