Femke den Hollander (1979, Bruges) lives and works in Bruges. She studied social and cultural work and later photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bruges.
She worked for 20 years as a social worker, mainly with young people. Since 2015 she has worked as a freelance photographer for numerous social and cultural organizations in Bruges and Flanders. She is inhouse photographer at cultural hub De Republiek and for the Museums of Bruges she documents the construction of the new state-of-the-art exhibition hall for contemporary art ‘BRUSK’, among other assignments.
She also works on her own projects and art collections, focusing mainly on the beauty of nature in recent years, closeby and further away.
