Mayas is an interdisciplinary artist originally hailing from Beirut, what she calls the capital of chaos and freedom. Through her ongoing research of the inner landscape, she strives toward alignment from which she draws most of her work. In a constant play with the dream-like nature of reality, her commitment lies in the dwelling on the contemporary psyche’s dark expanse, juxtaposing disconnected elements of the consciousness to uncover truths, ranging from the pacifying to the absurd.
