Dawavendewa is an indigenous artist who is Cherokee & Hopi. As a member of the Hopi tribe, Dawavendewa grew up at the Hopi village of Munqapi located in northern Arizona and the Cherokee woods of northeastern Oklahoma. The indigenous world is a constant inspiration and guidance to his artwork.
