Fahan Sky McDonagh

Fahan Sky McDonagh creates sculpture, prints, photography, installation and jewelry using many techniques. She intuitively responds to observations found in nature and translates that emotional connection to space. Central themes in her work are time, impermanence and place. She is drawn to edges—the essential organic repeating line of the landscape. Considered abstract forms come to life from positive and negative spaces when illuminated.

McDonagh received an MFA in Glass Sculpture from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York in 2013. She has attended residencies and symposiums at North Lands Creative Glass in Scotland and Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State. "Satori," her MFA thesis exhibition, was selected for publication in the Corning Museum of Glass' New Glass Review 35, Juried International Glass Publication. She currently teaches glass for Florida Institute of Technology and runs a small studio practice.
