Hi friends! My name is Emilie and I am the owner/designer of The Garden of Readen.
If you were wondering where I came up with the name for my shop, I guess it all started with a love for both flowers and books. I grew up in the good old Garden State--better known as New Jersey--with a father who owned a landscaping company. It wasn't until years later that I developed a love for literature, as well.
I have two degrees-an AAS in Fashion Design and a BFA in Fabric Styling, both from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. I worked for about a year as a Textile Designer in Manhattan but decided I needed a bit of a change which brought me here to Denver!
The Garden of Readen is a combination of artwork inspired by literature and Disney. All of my work has a very feminine and delicate appeal to it--just like a flower.
