Glass Darkly is an art project by Greg Williams.

Glass Darkly is an exploration of common mysteries. It is a place where the everyday world we see with our humble ocular senses meets the grander cosmic scale that our telescopically augmented perceptions strain toward.

Here, weeds and wild flowers that grow in the asphalt cracks of suburban roadsides are tethered to majestic celestial bodies that orbit beyond the blue heavens.

In future explorations, I would like to expand beyond botany and cosmology. Perhaps….stolen glances of strangers in the street are nestled in complex physics, their private thoughts trailing a metaphysical wake of fired neurons as they walk by. Maybe…informal traders push their wares up steep inclines as the mystery of gravity pushes back against their daily toil. It could be…that secret patterns in the urban sprawl hide in plain sight. Who knows, perhaps these will evolve into new projects with new names.

For now, I am here, perceiving as though through a glass darkly.
