I work with art as a way to spread my love of the natural world. I feel a strong connection to the Earth, and I want to spread the beauty that I see to others. My work is my personal take on the world around me. It is an infusion of beauty in the ordinary, every day things that we take for granted. I love to mix media in my artwork to really change how the different mediums interact as I'm creating a piece. Acrylics, inks, and watercolors are what I'm using currently, and these all behave differently on canvas. The combination feels organic and playful for me. My artwork is really an extension of who I am: everything from my coffee sleeves to my series of paintings. I put my heart into each piece, and each painting is a very personal experience. I've learned a lot about what I'm creating through different channels: my mom is a master crocheter, and she taught me so much growing up about art and finding a creative spark. I've been designing my own knits since I was young, because I love playing with different techniques. That has definitely spread to my canvases as I'm constantly willing to work with my painting mediums.
