Hello! My name is Heather and I'm an oil painter from Hamilton, Ontario. I've been exploring the theme of light and dark in my work lately. I love how the most beautiful shapes can only be created when an object blocks the sun. For me, it shows how time is fleeting and there is a balance to everything. Landscapes provide the perfect subject matter to capture those feelings.

Colour is central to all my work. I love playing with contrasting colours and creating something that feels vibrant and optimistic.

The majority of my work is landscape with a lean toward impressionism. My preferred medium is oil paint on panel and I like to represent real places in Hamilton.
