Kate Dittmann earned a BFA in illustration from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2016. Ever since, she has been hugging and designing stuffed animals and creating uplifting, whimsical illustrations.

Through her day job, she has produced award winning products, best selling hard and soft goods, and (most importantly to her) soft friends that her nieces and nephews choose to sleep with every night.

Kate is passionate about coffee, Christmas, and cats. She listens to the same music she listened to in seventh grade, and is an avid Sporting KC fan. She lives in a tiny old house with her fiancé and three cats.

On a relaxing, sunny afternoon, she can be found outdoors on a hiking trail, or stress yelling at her cat Fagen as he bully-chases her other cat Wobbles around the living room. She gets frustrated that Dobby, her perfect cat, doesn’t step in to help the little guy.

Kate enjoys creating light-hearted illustrations and designs. Her goal is to bring a little bit of joy to someone’s day. If we could all strive to bring a bit of happiness to a stranger each day, then she believes that we wouldn’t really be strangers at all.
