Instagram @TashaTheArtist Website www.TashaWebster.com Tasha Webster works as a visual artist, writer, inventor and serial entrepreneur practicing for over 8 years in multiple mediums that express afro-culture, mental health and women's empowerment. She does so by creating small- and large-scale paintings, sculptures and functional art pieces as well as poems and digital technologies. Primarily, Tasha utilizes acrylic paint, oil paint, spray paint, clay, cardboard, wood, raw canvas material, pre-stretched canvases and metal pieces to depict the various subject matters and environments. As a self-taught artist starting in 2010, she has advanced significantly from simply purchasing beginners' paints and knickknacks that she could afford at the time. Throughout her art career, she has conducted 3 individual shows, participated in 6 group shows, received 2 awards and currently has 3 live installations throughout Anchorage, AK. It is her goal to continue to expand in her respective practices and to remain intentional throughout all of her work with hopes of inspiring others to follow their curiosity, their passion and their purpose.
