Growing up in the wilds of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, I developed both a great imagination, and a love of anything involving adventures or the great outdoors. My parents gave me what they would come to find out was a Chinese name—23 years later I made my home in China—where I lived for 9 years. While far, far, far from anything even slightly outdoorsy or nature-like, Shanghai's cement city offered its own kind of adventure and unique opportunities for one-of-a-kind stories.
More recently I moved to Seattle where I got my Masters and began working for an Inclusive Leadership Consulting Company, and have started exploring all the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Throughout I have loved the power of art. I have been lucky enough to travel to many parts of the world, snapping photos and drawing doodles as I go. Art by local artists and craftsmen is one of my favorite travel memorabilia (that and Christmas ornaments).
I love table topics, discovering a great read, and sharing things I find interesting with others.
Special talents include: singing the wrong lyrics to songs, forgetting to water plants, and turning the world against the font Papyrus.
