~Art of Emotion~ www.komaritsa.com My name is Jana Komaritsa. I am a Russian-born interdisciplinary artist, currently based between Russia and the United States. My background is fine arts, architecture, urban planning (B.Sc, M.Sc) from schools in Russia and Germany, as well as extensive experience in creative industry. I took part in various events in Russia and abroad, from major festivals to experimental shows and exhibitions. I realize my deepest feelings, emotions and inner thoughts, creating surreal worlds in various mediums, from fine arts and video to music and performance.

My art is an ocean of feelings from the somber corners of the subconsciousness, which doesn’t suppress and turn off the emotions, but sharpen them to a sometimes frightening peak. Mystery, supernatural, magic and the unknown - are one of the main themes of my art.

I also run the art school "Volshebniy Kot" ("Magic Cat") in Moscow and an arts and gifts shop Purr Party, inspired by my cat. As a musician I work under the name Darkrad and produce experimental electronic music. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions! Thank you and welcome!
