Hi, I am Jasmina,

Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I have been working as a French and Latin teacher in a high school for twenty years and I started oil painting twelve years ago. Actually I restarted to paint – I had been painting almost all the time as a child till I was 15. Painting isn't my main job, but it's certainly the job I enjoy the most, even if I really love teaching and my students give me plenty of joy and love. At first I was painting to fight anxiety, then I continued because I felt calm and happy when I did it. The style is photo realism, maybe sometimes even hyper realism. It takes about fifty hours to paint one small canvas, 20 cm by 30 cm, in oil. That's why there aren't many paintings in my portfolio. I paint places with a lot of sun, water, blue sky, boats. While I paint I really can feel that I am again in these places with my family. When you look at my paintings I hope you will hear the waves, feel the sun on your skin, the wind in your hair, the freedom and happiness that you feel when you're traveling with someone you love.
