Hello, and welcome to James and Julie. This is a shop inspired by my Dad's designs and my digital creations.

My Dad was always an artist at heart although he spent his career as a chemist. He painted and sketched as a hobby. The art I admired the most were the imaginative pen and ink doodles he created. At one point he sold a couple of large scale paintings based from some of his doodles and also had a small gallery show.

After my Dad's passing in 2019, his 3 x 5 notepad stacks of drawings were passed on to me. It was something I had specially asked for. I have been working with the scanned versions in Adobe Illustrator; cleaning up the raw edges, adding color and adding a little of my own flair.

One of the requests my Dad made was that we would remember to tell his stories. This is my way to carry on his request. I've found the work a joy and sometimes meditative as I bring his abstract drawings from his work notepads to a place of recognition.

40% of all my shop earnings will be donated to the Davis Phinney Foundation for Parkinson's.
