My father was an accomplished painter and in his later years, when he could paint no more, he encouraged me to take his easel and paint supplies to see if I might enjoy putting brush strokes to canvas. It wasn’t until he passed that I took up the brush to explore the medium of water color paint.
I live in Parksville on beautiful Vancouver Island on the West Coast of BC, Canada. Surrounded by eagles, I felt inspired to do a collection of these majestic birds.
I was born in Norway and so I’m sure my artistic style comes with a flavor of my old country Viking ancestry. I am also a musician and love to write music and play the piano and guitar plus have written several books.
I am married to my beautiful wife, Debbie since 1973. We have two children and eight grandchildren.
I used to be a professional magician and owned the Victoria Trick and Joke shop. At 28 years old by life took on a whole new direction. I went from being a magician to missionary in Central America. You can read more about this adventure in my book “Come Follow Go.” Here is a link to this if you are interested in knowing more. https://www.amazon.ca/Come-Follow-Go-Getting-following/dp/1481041029 I also wrote a short song about my experience called the “Good News Story.” This is available on my YouTube channel.
