Ambience, Vitality, Spirit J Shannon is an artist who explores the beauty and harmony of nature through photography and painting. Drawing from her diverse backgrounds in classical Chinese and English literature, philosophy, and visual arts, she has developed a unique style that blends the principles of Chinese aesthetics of resonating with the ambience, spirit, and vitality of nature through the action of Chinese brushes and Western media— oil painting and photography. Her art invites the viewers to experience a deeper connection with themselves and the universe. After teaching for two and a half decades at a prestigious university in southern Taiwan, she is now devoted to creating art that reflects her rich cultural heritage and her cosmic vision. She believes that, although we are living on a small planet in a vast galaxy, we can discover infinite creativity within ourselves.
