I’m Juan David Cadena, Colombian Illustrator and Graphic Designer.
I’m a Designer with a Communication emphasys from Los Andes University in Bogota, COL. I have worked as an Art Director, Graphic Designer and Freelance Illustrator with Creative Studios like Mottif, Mirona, Latitud and Siegen Co. I have done many illustration and animation courses from illustrators like Puño, Owen Davey and Pablo Cuello. For more than 8 years, I have been focused on that field developing illustrations for brands and packaging. I’m currently working in personal projects like the series of screenprints “Tarantino meets Posada” and the series “invisible cities” based on the work of Italo Calvino. My style is characterized by having a wide spectrum where analogous textures, flat color and transparencies are combined, sometimes also exploring with animation.
My work has been exposed an published in the 2nd Biennal of Illustration by pictoline catalog, the 12th and 13th Iberoamerica Ilustra.
