Welcome to my Gallery. My name is Juliette Becker. I am an artist, wife,mother of five, grandmother, and psychologist. And a proud native of California, recently retired to beautiful Gig Harbor, Washington.

My art background is multifaceted. In my early years, my concentration was in the field of music. I was a classical pianist and trained, performing opera singer. As I progressed and my life changed, I immersed myself into the art world and added oil painting to my skills.

Over the years, I have studied with several well -known classical artists. My favorite medium is oil. I also enjoy acrylics, watercolors, graphite and my new- found passion, pastels. I use my camera to record scenes, flowers, landscapes and whatever inspires me as references for future paintings.

Subject matter is whatever inspires and stirs something inside of me. Landscapes, flowers, animals, figuratives, cars, trucks,boats are all a part of my repertoire. I particularly like strong, vibrant color and unusual perspectives. Painting a person or creature from behind gives me a different perspective of what they are seeing. I like to paint both classically and whimsically.

Being a psychologist, I tend to look deeper into what I paint and see something more beyond the canvas.I enjoy telling stories about what I imagine in my paintings. In my private practice, I utilized individual pieces of my paintings with patients,teaching them how to transcend anxiety using guided imagery and other methods. I call this process Transcendent Art. I also started From Your MindsEye Publishing company and produced additional guided imagery recordings and publications.

In my family, I am called the Renaissance woman,mainly because I have had so many varied experiences and diverse careers in the fields of Art, Business and Mental Health. Blessed with a vivid imagination and fortified with loving support, I have been able to pursue my dreams. It has afforded me a rich, full life. Sharing my love of life and joy of creating gives me deep satisfaction. My goal is to brighten your world, if only a little, with my art.
