Born and raised in the Bay Area, North of San Francisco, I started art training taking classes at the Academy of Art in San Francisco during high school. I continued my studies at the California College of Art and Craft and earned my Bachelors of Art at Humboldt University in California. Currently I live in Portland, Maine where I continue creating and have integrated the passion of the outdoors with my work. Art has always been a focus in my life from teaching, photography, sculpture, and painting. My artwork contains multiple subjects and consistently shows my passion and freedom in art. When I paint I immerse myself into the moment and concentrate on every little grain of canvas. Spontaneity and feeling is what drives my pieces to become what they are. I love to apply the paint and then scratch it off. I use my whole body when I paint one brushstroke or draw one line. I enjoy the use of line to create forms in my work. My work is about the process of creating what I am feeling in the moment.
