Kahlil is a tattooer working out of Ed Hardy's Tattoo City in San Francisco. Best known for large scale work, he works to further the new tradition established by Hardy during his tattoo career, “the informed, respectful wielding of different elements from cultures around the world, coming together to create something vital, energetic & new.” Japanese and Asian art in general hold the biggest influence in his work, but American tattoo history, Mesoamerican archaeology, obscure pop culture, and Hardy’s mash-up period hold major sway as well.
