I got my first real camera when I was young, and the rest, as they say is history. I took pictures of anything and everything, barely able to contain my excitement while waiting for my film to be developed. However, like a kid opening presents, sometimes there were good photos (mostly luck) and most often they were sub-par, not truly capturing the breath-taking image my young mind remembered.
I’ve since improved, if only slightly, from a beginner to an amateur…constantly looking to improve my “photographer’s eye.” But I believe that is one of the great challenges of photography, there is always something more to learn, a new skill to develop or a different subject to shoot. I have chosen some photos to share with you from places all over the world that elicit different emotions or memories for me, I hope they do so for you you as well. Enjoy!
