I LOVE art. It's so subjective. Ask 5, 50, or 500 people to describe what they see in a piece of art and what it makes them feel and they will each have a different answer. I am definitely a visual person with a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, for color, for the perfect still life, for textiles, for the light during the golden hour.
I was born in Texas and even though I will always consider myself a Texan first and foremost, my gypsy spirit has had me moving all over the western side of the country before finally settling in California. In 2003, I graduated from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Art Degree. In school I focused mainly on printmaking but also studied drawing, ceramics, sculpture and painting with acrylic. I am a linen and textile addict.
I love to draw upon my love of nature (like making pieces out of driftwood form the beach), spirit (my love of yoga inspires much of my art), and photography for inspiration. My art is all over the place, as is my inspiration and my mood. I'm a Gemini! My goal is to create art and hand made goods that make me happy and hopefully someone else may want to incorporate into their home. I don't have a set medium or style - I like to create what I feel in the moment.
