I'm 33 years old, have a gorgeous wife (Kelly), two crazy kids (Sam and Sarah), and live in Prince George, British Columbia. I have lived here most of my life and love everything the city has to offer. We are fortunate to be surrounded by lakes, rivers, forests, mountains, and four seasons in the beautiful western province of Canada.

I have always been interested in drawing, painting and all types of art. Sadly, I don't make a living from art but that hasn't seemed to stop my enthusiasm.

Since the birth of my first child, Sam, in 2012, I have been drawn to children's books, specifically their illustrations. I read picture books to my kids every night and often Sam has to remind me to keep reading as I have stopped to admire the pictures. My favourite illustrators are Oliver Jeffers, Alex Latimer, Chris Haughton, Mike Lowery, Daniel Salmieri, and David Roberts.

I enjoy creating my illustrations with pencil and paper but I find colouring with a traditional medium tedious, so lately, I have transitioned to digital art. I create most of my illustrations, start to finish, on the iPad.
