Every meaningful room, office, building and home is a potential place for art.

Like many people from the Caribbean my family settled in south Brooklyn, N.Y. In many ways 1987 was the beginning; the Empire State became my new home and muse; the concrete jungle took hold of me like a rebellious thought in a young mind. I began to have an interest in architecture after a short time living in New York City, which I studied briefly before switching to cartooning & illustration. In late summer of 2009, I began teaching myself the basics of film photography, moving into digital photography by 2011. Years were spent photographing various neighborhoods in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the counter-cultural art scene in New York (2011-2018). By 2014 I started observing street art from various artists (Dee Dee & Dain being two favorites) while working for a courier service based in Manhattan. The style and content of these images brought on sensations that would produce new ideas. I started photographing torn and defaced advertisements, textures, colors, patterns, combining them together in photoshop. These images would become my digital-art series Simulacra. These are in the section of my website called Digital-Art. My photography deals with composition, framing, patterns, balance, and a certain amount of chiaroscuro (via natural light). Within a primarily linear, industrialized, increasingly techno-centric society I capture aspects of its spirit. The unintended aspects of our postmodern life permeate much of the photographs creating a seemingly alternate reality.
