Kat Foundling (b.1995) is an emerging Australian contemporary artist. Currently residing in Hawkes Bay, NZ, Kat as a self taught artist is focused on sharing her visual narrative and developing the boundaries of her work. Taking inspiration from artists such as Cecily Brown and Andrew Lui, her work utilises a varied range of media and techniques, reflecting on the intricacies surrounding what it means to be human and the anxieties and trauma that encompass that space. Often incorporating confessional and personal motifs, her works fuse reality and abstraction in a pilgrimage into the unconscious.
