When I was a little girl, I started my love affair with photography with my Kodak Instamatic, 126-film camera. My adult working life has taken many turns, but, through the years, one thing has stood out for me, my love of photography. I also have a passion for working in and teaching photography students about Photoshop.
The act of taking photographs is nourishing and therapeutic for me. I can often be found exploring the beauty of Nature with my camera. In the winter especially, due to SAD, I crave and seek light and color-energy, and I often turn to time-lapse or long-exposure photography for its beauty and mystery.
I am interested in the quantum field, the seen and unseen energy that we are all part of, that surrounds us and imbues us at all times. My interest is to tap into the Life-giving energy of Light and Color. Always a fan of the mysterious, mystical, and meditative, I often feel that I am photographing the usually unseen energy or spirit of locations at such times.
My overreaching desire is to create work that shines and uplifts the human spirit. I want to leave a legacy of beauty, illumination, and a love of life. It is important to me to contribute something positive with what I do. If my work moves someone, gives solace, or a sense of connection, I will feel that it is truly a Gift, and not simply a personal passion.
