We go through life in the hopes that we'd stumble onto a situation and come out the hero. And, even in the few cases where that occurs, that's often the summation of our thumbprint on this wet painting of life. Everyone has a hand - and yeah, on that hand I agree- but there's always a left hand-in which the few thumbprints that are legible are really the only thumbprints that get glory or matter and so on. (And I never have been very good at thumb wars…)

But as I wander through this wilderness of life I know one thing; my passion is story. As an artist I seek to tell stories on a human level in the hopes that I might touch on truth. As a daughter of the One True King, I hope that truth can be His voice reaching out through my work. As a human, it is my experiences and my passion and my deep, burning desire to be a part of this great, unfolding story which urges me and calls me to continue on and create.

So I urge you, as I urge myself- if it all can't be recorded, then record it yourself. And even if it doesn’t make sense- it'll make sense to you. And someone will walk along and they'll be similar enough in spirit to see something from it. And they'll smile or maybe they'll laugh. Or perhaps, most ideally, they'll be inspired enough to make more.
