Laura was born and raised in Sweden. After graduating art school, she began her career as a professional free-lance illustrator in Stockholm, working with design firms, advertising agencies, department stores, magazines and newspapers.

In 1993 Laura moved to New York City. She quickly found work with high-end department stores, magazines and design firms.

Her first children’s book was published in 2001.

To date, Laura’s work with editorial and commercial clients continues as she has published many children’s books as well as designed games and museum products for children and adults.
