MagicWandMaker

Hailing from Los Angeles, I have been living in the Bay Area since the early 1990’s when I moved there to study photography at the San Francisco Art Institute and JFK University for Transformative Art. I work with themes of magic, alchemy, interconnectedness, and collaboration- with the natural realm and with other artists.

I have been making art since I was a child. It all started with early sketchbooks and then was given a camera when I was 13. I have been on a non-stop creative ride claiming myself as an artist ever since. I have experience in pen and ink, photography, watercolor, sculpture, painting, printmaking, installation, and digital art.. I love to make magical wands and rattles from branches, driftwood, rocks, leaves and other materials that I find in the world.

I am interested in the realms beyond ordinary consciousness: the magical and mystical, the not known and the yet to be seen. I feel that what I create lives in an in between realm of its own, existing between the accepted worlds of art and science, between the known and unknown, the mindscapes of human existence.

I feel that we are here to share our stories and our dreams, to look deeply beyond the mirrored surface. To seek within ourselves and the world why we make what we do and why we are here.
