Maja (pronounced like “Maya”) is a contemporary artist born in the former Yugoslavia. She received formal training at the Academy of Arts and Conservation in Belgrade. In 2012, she moved to the United States and is currently working as a freelance artist and a comic book colorist. "Spacescapes" is a collection of paintings that examines the beauty of the universe including nebulae, galaxies, star clusters, and other astronomical phenomena. Her artwork was exhibited at galleries in Metuchen NJ, New Hope PA, and Princeton NJ, and shared by the Hubble Space Telescope social media accounts.
