Margarett Perry is a freelance artist and theater director based in New York City who began exploring watercolors when New York City closed down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two of her watercolors have been licensed by the New York Historical Society and are on sale in the NY History Store. 7 PM NYC Gratitude presents the view outside her New York City apartment at 7 PM, when heroes were lauded daily and May this be the Moment of Change is Perry’s homage to the Black Lives Matter protests that exploded in New York City, throughout the country, and the world, following the police killing of George Floyd. “Her open placards bloom from within the crowd and speak to the many voices seeking to be heard.” -NYHistory.
