MARK SCHAEFFER has lived in the Philadelphia area his entire life. He attended the Philadelphia College of Art (now known as University of the Arts) where he trained as an Illustrator and a Painter.

Mark spent over 20 years in magazine publishing for cable television and TV Guide, and stepped into advertising in 2001 with Red Tettemer in Philadelphia. Currently, Mark is in the Creative Department at Brownstein Group, also in Philadelphia. His days are busy with digital, print, and outdoor advertising, as well as collateral, for a variety of Brownstein's major clients. He has been at Brownstein for over 14 years, and continues to illustrate, paint and sell his own work.

In the past 5 years, he has published an illustrated children's Christmas book and is finishing up a second children's book. He has focused on illustrations of famous people (actors, musicians, pro athletes, politicians and world leaders).
