Matt Higgins is an artist and educator living a working in Philadelphia PA. He earned his BFA from West Chester University and his MFA from The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. His work uses text and imagery to convey emotions and states of mind in hopes this will communicate with the viewer. His work typically takes on a bold somewhat pop aesthetic with a mix of imaginative and real world references. He incorporates digital media into some of his work to alter the original painting and create multiples.
