My name is Melanie and there is nothing I love more than fashion illustration. It took me a while, but a few years ago I finally found my own style and have stuck to it ever since.

Over the past few years, however, I have taught myself to paint (abstract acrylic mostly) and have become interested in illustrating different things like plants, flowers, patterns, etc and have taken a liking to collage.

My main focus is still fashion illustration and I draw the majority of my inspiration from fashion magazines and other fashion illustrators' work. While the basis of most of my work is my beloved HB pencil, I am constantly experimenting with and incorporating different media into my pieces - namely, markers, coloured pencils, acrylic paint, watercolour, gold leaf, origami paper, scrapbook paper, stickers, washi tape, etc.

I work in a corporate setting so my art is my escape after a day at the office. It has always been and will always be my favourite thing to do.
