My Name is Melissa and I was born in Detroit, Michigan. Art and photography have been passions of mine since I was a kid and I have been lucky enough to witness photography move from the film era into the digital age. I enjoy black and white photography the most and capturing all the environments I visit and my family.

Throughout school I studied art and photography but ultimately pursued a career in marketing. Along the way I have maintained photography as a hobby and in 2010 made a new year resolution to turn my hobby into something more.

A few on-going projects I am pursuing are creating my own style I have branded “printography” and also connecting food and photography to tell stories about Detroit. Each of my projects have a dedicated area on the site.
