My designs all begin life as nature photographs. I am a painter at heart, with a camera, focusing on colors, textures and shadows. I then 'Morph' these images into my unique nature photographic abstractions. I strive for fluidity and an organic, painterly feel in my abstract designs. My extensive background in painting and color theory helps with this. Sometimes you can tell what the original image was in my abstracts, and sometimes not; it all depends on where the muse takes me.

My 'straight' nature photographs consist mainly of flowers, my favorite subject. I have been a gardener for as long as I can remember, learning at the feet of my mom-mom, pop-pop and grandma. I adore flowers, their energy and distinct personalities. I strive to capture that in my photography.
