Mark Metzler is an Omaha area artist whose art education consists of elementary, middle school, and high school art classes. Mark grew up loving both art and music. While his grandparents thought of him as their “little artist,” Mark’s catalog of completed artwork was empty in his adult years until 2019. Inspired by the works of Piet Mondrian, Edouard Cibot, and Robin Samberg, Mark’s adult artist self came out of his shell. Using digital photography and several programs, Mark changes and distorts pictures into an almost melted looking canvas. Mark loves to show the different textures of his work; though not physical like the textures of a painted piece, you can feel the motions of each digital piece. The pieces help to represent this artist: different, confident, and relaxed.
