Hey everyone! I am Rebecca Cappelli. I am 20 years old, born in the south, meant for the north. My dream is to live in Alaska someday with my 2 beautiful and crazy Siberian Huskies (Max and Bella). I am a painter and sketch artist. I have been sketching for as long as I can remember, but I have recently started painting as well. I also have an unusual artwork involving spiders. Most people call me crazy, but I have never been scared of spiders. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been fascinated with them and quite often my family would find random jars around the house with a spider in it. Needless to say I got fussed at a lot for that. Anyone living in the southern states of the U.S. would be familiar with the giant orb weaver spiders that come out in the Fall, weaving their enormous webs in your garages, doorways, and windows. Often times we walk right into them leaving for work in the morning. I have begun to make artwork with the entire web itself. My pieces feature either a black on white or white on black REAL orb weaver web that I have managed to capture onto a background. The backgrounds may vary from poster board, canvas or even a simple piece of cardboard. These are my favorite pieces to do, but the original webs are extremely limited since the spiders are only out for a few months. If interested in an original framed web please feel free to email me. As of now I only have one or two left, however if you would like one I will reserve a future web for you when they come back out in the fall.
