The world opened when "Art Goes to School" visited her elementary school. It made an impression that has never left her, and it wasn't until many years later that Nakoah emerged learning that she had an artist's touch.

Creating was always there either through playing music, crocheting, hand crafting, and trying every technique that was in her means. The tools changed, there have been gaps of time, the results varied, but it never stopped.

Her biggest thrill (Besides seeing a student get an art concept and their eyes light up.) is taking a photo from her travels and translating that into art. Sometimes it’s a full picture sometimes just a portion of the whole.
