My name is Natalie Fine Shapiro and I'm a watercolor artist and designer.

I create colorful watercolor paintings with whimsical movement, delicate organic shapes, and precise brush strokes. My use of concentrated liquid watercolor helps me achieve strikingly bold, saturated colors.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN, I’ve been passionate about art since I can remember. Throughout my artistic journey I’ve explored many mediums, including figure drawing, henna body art, jewelry making and hand lettering, all the while singing in various bands. In 2018, I discovered my love of watercolor.

I find watercolor both challenging and freeing. I notice a strong push and pull between my inner perfectionist and my need to improvise and play.

I draw inspiration from my imagination, the natural world, and the vibrant colors and captivating patterns found in traditional folk art from around the world.
