In an art world where unique is hard to find, my drawings are just that, a visual interpretation of my mind. Each mind is different and will find itself inside my art. I don’t create portraits or landscapes and rarely include any identifiable symbols. Combining automatic drawing with mental stimuli such as podcasts, music, and conversations, the art has no specific direction. As with life, by using only ink to paper, I am bound to the marks I leave behind regardless of their impact. My only choice is to continue moving forward trying to create balance, peace, and harmony with what paper is still available. The end result is a Zen Doodle.
Most of my art does not include a signature because that would imply orientation. Rather, I implore patrons to turn the image whatever way speaks to them the most. On more recent pieces, I’ve begun to hide an Eight Note within the art to represent a signature yet not distracting from the flow of the art.
