Janelle Schneider is a multi-disciplinary visual artist. With an education and background in fine art and design and 10+ years experience in 3d digital painting for the entertainment industry, she moves comfortably between traditional and digital approaches, methods, and techniques. A native of the Pacific Northwest, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pacific Northwest College of Art.
Some of her artist heroes include Georgia O'Keeffe, Frida Kahlo. Rick Bartow, Rothko, Klee, Hilma of Klint, Morris Graves, and Leo Kenney. She is influenced by contemporary life, ancient cave paintings, mythology, dreams, and symbolism. Her work reflects a reverence for nature, with themes of duality, seen and unseen worlds, regeneration and transcendence, and the shared human condition.
Janelle has exhibited in the Portland Metro area, Santa Monica and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Her works are held in private collections in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Norway. She currently lives and works in the Portland, Oregon area.
