Rose Daniel is an artist based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. She primarily works with large scale oil paintings, wax and ink illustrations but has recently branched out to realistic graphic portraits. Rose uses memories as hidden elements, to allow her audience to create their narrative using the ambiguity and the sense of nostalgia that is present - her work centres around the human condition, the sublime, isolation and religion. What she has recently been working on is creating a collection of works that don't directly link to each other but serve (in an exhibition/installation space) as historical snippets of stories from a parallel dimension.
