Los Angeles based painter, Edy Pickens Levin, uses her artistic tools to yield abstractions, mandalas, horses, and still-life paintings. Her work is inspired by moon phases, animal guides, and the labyrinthine path that unfolds before her. Since 1997, Edy has been developing an interdisciplinary style that expresses a pantheistic empathy with nature and, more specifically, an impassioned connection to horses and rural landscapes. She often finds herself reconciling the differences and highlighting the similarities between her rural Southern roots and the metropolitan behemoth she now calls home.
