Hi, I am Pilar Mageau. I am a mom, a Spanish native speaker, a teacher and I have always enjoyed drawing. Just recently, while dealing with anxiety, I went back to my favorite thing to do during my college days, doodle. While playing with lines and shapes to decompress, I developed a passion for black ink illustrations. I find beauty in representing simple botanical and abstract shapes. I particularly enjoy creating intricate compositions that are original and interesting. I love experimenting with ink and watercolors. Through my illustrations, I hope to create unique pieces that spark curiosity, hope and happiness. In addition to my art, I am interested in crafting, sewing and upcycling items in creative ways to gift my friends and family or to sell in craft markets and my Redbubble and Etsy shops.
